The stones are real African turquoise, which has a darker and earthier appearance than a vibrant blue turquoise (as seen in many North American turquoises). You'll see prominent deep tones of green, with lots of dark vein marks and brown marks. Looks great on its own, but also works well for layering with other jewelry pieces.
